Ukrainian economy taking rise trajectory - ministry

The indicators of the Ukrainian economy in June demonstrated positive changes in industry and confirmed once again that the deepest fall had passed, says Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn, in whose opinion the economy begins upward movement.
It is possible to say about this through a number of factors, the press service of the economy ministry reported. Particularly, in June, against May, industrial output rose by 3.1%, when in 2000 - 2008 on the average, the rise was only 1.4%.
A positive development tendency was shown by nearly all branches of industry but the production of coke and oil processing goods (minus 2.6%).
Light industry showed a rise of 14.2%, woodworking 10.1%, pulp-and-paper 3.9%.
Some progress was also reported by non-metal mineral industry (5.1%), chemical (4.2%) and metallurgical industry (1.1%).
One more positive moment, the economy ministry says, is machine-building production rise (6.9%).
For the first time in the production of foods, drinks and tobaccos, the rise made 0.9%.
Agriculture also shows progress, its output having increased by 2.6% in January - June.
