Tymoshenko confirms entry in NATO will be decided at national referendum

Yulia Tymoshenko
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, a presidential candidate with a highest rating, confirmed once again at a news briefing Wednesday that the question of Ukraine's entry in NATO must be decided at a nation-wide referendum.

"I want to stress once again that both I personally and my political team may talk about entering NATO exclusively by way of an all-Ukraine referendum," she stresses.

Tymoshenko noted that at its meeting on Wednesday, the government adopted "the parameters of cooperation" with NATO, but no word was said about Ukraine's entry in the alliance.
