UEFA Cup final to be broadcast in 63 countries

The participants and organizers of the UEFA Cup final between Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) and Werder Bremen (Germany) held a council a few hours before Spanish Referee Luis Medina Cantalejo starts the match in Istanbul.
According to the official Web site of the football club from Donetsk, Shakhtar will be dressed in their traditional, orange and black kit, while their opponents will put on a white and green kit. According to the UEFA regulations, the kits should have the text featuring the date, time and venue of the final game.
The final match in Istanbul will be broadcast live on TV in 63 countries around the world. A total of 660 journalists, including around 120 photographers, have been accredited to cover the match. The match will be simultaneously broadcast on two big screens mounted at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.
Ukrainian and German fans will arrive in Istanbul on 14 and five charter flights respectively.
The UEFA Cup final between Shakhtar and Werder will take place today at 2145 Kyiv time.
