Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has said that decisions taken by the North Atlantic Council, which held meetings at the level of foreign ministers on December 2-3, are opening new opportunities in the development of Ukrainian relations with NATO.
The head of state was speaking at a meeting with UK Minister for Europe Caroline Flint in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Yushchenko thanked London for supporting Kyiv's plans to join the European Union and NATO. "We appreciate Britain's consistent support in the question of Ukraine's integration with European and Euro-Atlantic structures," he said.
