Arseniy Yatsenyuk is doubtful about his possible resignation as Verkhovna Rada Speaker, he told reporters.
At the same time, Yatsenyuk believes that resolution that is presently spoken about (collection of deputies' signatures for a draft resolution on Speaker's dismissal - ed.) should be introduced.
"The resolution should be introduced, let they show what they can do". He dropped a hint of doubt that the decision will have 226 votes for the Speaker's resignation.
At the same time, President Viktor Yushchenko claimed during a meeting with heads of state regional administrations that allies of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense bloc (OU-PS) have joined to the collection of signatures for Yatsenyuk's resignation.
The President stressed that two political forces collected signatures to dismiss the Parliament Speaker from his post after an attempt to include in the Verkhovna Rada's agenda a draft law on public purchases.
"Incredible as it may seem, the signatures have been collected by our allies and opponents in the Verkhovna Rada," Viktor Yushchenko said.
Viktor Yanukovych, leader of the opposition Party of Regions early stated about the Speaker's possible resignation.
The BYUT is OU-PS's coalition partner.
