STATES, BACKING UKRAINE'S BID OF EUORINTEGRATION, INCREASE IN NUMBER, PRESIDENT SAYS

President Viktor Yuschenko believes that negotiations on free trade zone with the European Union can be completed within 10 to 12 months, while an Enhanced Agreement between Ukraine and the EU will be signed in the first quarter of 2009. This was disclosed by the President at a meeting with students of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.
According to the President, the Ukrainian party has already exchanged documents with the EU on the free trade zone. He stressed that regulations of the zone should be included into the new Enhanced Agreement.
Viktor Yuschenko said that Ukraine seeks political association and economic integration into the EU, as well as full pledged membership in the organization.
The President admitted to some positive moods at the talks and Ukraine's ever growing support by other states. We have reached mutual understanding with France, UK and Germany. They kind of understand our goals, he said
