The parliament will vote on a new prime minister on December 18, Tuesday. Such an agenda was approved by 247 votes out of 450. The agenda was approved not only by BYUT and OU-PSD, but also by MPs from the Bloc of Lytvyn and the Communists. The Party of Regions didn't vote.
The procedure of voting on the prime minister, to which post Yuliya Tymoshenko has been nominated, will be open: the speaker will name deputies in the alphabetical order and each deputy will raise his/her hand and say .yes. or .no.. The voting system was changed in view of failures of the Rada system, which reasons are now being checked by a commission of experts.
On Tuesday the parliament will also decide on relieving Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych and his Cabinet and forming a new government.
The Tuesday agenda also provides for election of the First Vice Speaker and Vice Speaker and distribution of posts in the parliamentary committees.
