President has the constitutional right to nominate candidatures for prime minister with one month since the day the coalition is formed, presidential spokesperson Iryna Vannykova said.
She said the president can repeatedly nominate the candidature, however she said she possessed no information about further actions by the president at the moment.
The candidature of Tymoshenko, whom the president nominated in the parliament on Tuesday, was supported by 225 votes with the needed number of at least 226 votes. BYUT stated technical irregularities.
However, Volodymyr Lytvyn said if the coalition repeatedly submits the candidature of Tymoshenko for nomination, the president will have to respond.
