Cabinet dismisses chiefs of trade-economic missions in some countries

KYIV, July 30 /UKRINFORM/. The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed the heads of trade and economic missions at the Ukrainian embassies in some countries.

In particular, the government dismissed the heads of missions at the Ukrainian embassies in Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Lithuania, Argentina, Russia, Brazil, Poland, the Netherlands and at the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.

In April, President Viktor Yanukovych signed a decree to eliminate trade-economic missions and form economic departments of diplomatic missions of Ukraine abroad.

Late in May, Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryshchenko said the economic component of diplomatic missions would be soon strengthened.
