Yanukovych appoints Salo as governor of Lviv region
KYIV, October 31 /Ukrinform/. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed decrees dismissing Viktor Shemchuk as head of Lviv Regional State Administration and appointing Oleh Salo to this post.
The decrees were published on the official website of the head of state on Thursday, Ukrinform reported.
Yanukovych also appointed Shemchuk as a presidential advisor.
Police Major General Oleh Salo was appointed head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's main office in Ivano-Frankivsk region in November 2012. Earlier, he headed the Interior Ministry's main offices in Rivne and Lviv regions.
