Ukrainian taxi drivers to get English phrasebooks for UEFA EURO 2012
KYIV, September 17 / UKRINFORM/. Ukrainian taxi drivers will be provided with English phrasebooks to communicate with guests of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, Deputy Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov has said.
According to the official, the language training will start next spring for all the groups engaged in UEFA EURO 2012. Policemen will join a language program half year before the competition.
Kolesnikov also said that the authorities will also support all the initiatives of the restaurant business on the use of English. He promised that the bilingual menu will be included in all promotional catalogs, distributed to guests of UEFA EURO 2012. "Everything that depends on the authorities will be done, but much depends on the business," the deputy prime minister underscored.
