Japan extends grant for Chornobyl museum
KYIV, September 24 /UKRINFORM/. Japan's government has decided to provide a financial assistance at USD 74,000 to improve exposition equipment at National Chornobyl Museum.
This will be the second project in Ukraine implemented in frames of the program of small-scale grant assistance in the area of culture, UKRINFORM learned from the Japanese embassy in Ukraine.
Under the deal, the museum will get LCD TV-sets, data terminals, film readers, DVD-players, archive boxes and other equipment.
Japan has already rendered assistance for Ukrainian educational and cultural institutions in the amount of more than USD 4.3 million since 1998. Moreover, Japan provided Ukraine with grants at more than USD 151.8 million.
