European Parliament, Ashton to discuss situation in Ukraine on December 12

KYIV, November 27 /UKRINFORM/. MEPs and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton will hold a debate on the situation in Ukraine on December 12.

This is stipulated in the draft agenda of the next plenary session of the EU's legislative body, which is to be held in Strasbourg on December 10-13, a UKRINFORM correspondent reported.

The vote on a resolution on Ukraine, following the debate, will be held on December 13. The Ukrainian question will be discussed in the European Parliament after a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which is scheduled for December 10.

As earlier reported, during this meeting the foreign ministers of the EU member countries will discuss the situation in Ukraine after the parliamentary elections and publish their findings on the prospects for further political dialogue with the country, including in the context of signing the association agreement.
