Defenсe Ministry: Russia waging psychological war against Ukrainian military in Crimea

KYIV, March 3 /Ukrinform/. Russian media and security forces have launched a massive media campaign against the Ukrainian military, trying to spread misinformation and frustration to break the morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Crimea, the Defenсe Ministry's press office has said in a statement on Monday.

“The Russian Federation continues to make the information campaign against Ukraine to justify its illegal actions within the sovereign territory. Through mass media and Internet, they spread incorrect information on eventual captured military units and facilities in Crimea,” the report says.

It is noted that despite multiple attempts of Russian servicemen and radical elements to capture or block, force the Ukrainian servicemen to put down arms, under permanent psychological pressure, the Ukrainian servicemen demonstrate allegiance to the oath and the Ukrainian people, courage and confidence in own actions.

“They remain unprovoked and understand their Motherland and their Ukrainian people are behind them,” the message reads.
