Construction of railway terminal in Donetsk for UEFA EURO 2012 worth UAH 414mln

KYIV, September 23 /UKRINFORM/. Project costs of a new railway terminal facility in Donetsk for UEFA EURO 2012 makes up UAH 414 million (1 USD - 8.0 UAH), the Donetsk Railways press service informed.

The project of the terminal modernization and construction of a new commuter terminal on the Donetsk station was divided into two investment projects.

As a result of two tenders the SV Dom daughter enterprise of the Stroimmosystem Company, Zaporizhzhia, was a winner.

The terminal's capacity is planned to be increased from 700 to 2,100 passengers, and the traffic flow from 17 to 32 thousand per 24 hours that will comply with UEFA requirements regarding the railway terminal of EURO 2012 hosting city.

On May 13, UEFA chose Kyiv in Ukraine, and preliminarily Donetsk, Lviv and Kharkiv as UEFA EURO 2012 hosting cities.

Ukraine and Poland won a tender organized by UEFA for holding the European Football Championship 2012.
