Advance copy of first complete translation of Quran in Ukrainian released in Saudi Arabia

KYIV, February 17 /UKRINFORM/. An advance copy of the first complete translation of the Quran in Ukrainian has been released at the King Fahd Complex for Printing of the Holy Quran in Medina, Saudi Arabia, UKRINFORM learned from the translator, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Mykhailo Yakubovych, National University of Ostroh Academy.

"The book contains 993 pages, it presents in parallel the Arabic and Ukrainian texts," he said.

According to him, the decision to publish the Ukrainian translation of the Quran was taken by a special commission of experts from the Center in Medina, who testified that the Ukrainian version of the Quran meets the requirements of doctrinal interpretation of the Muslim holy book.
